Dear Chamber Members:
We have a lot to be proud of here in the Red River Valley. We have innovative businesses, cutting edge entrepreneurs, nonprofits that are changing lives in our metro and so much more.
In fact, we have so many good stories to share, we’ve broken all the records for our ChamberChoice Awards this year. We had over 130 nominations and will recognize over 50 candidates at this year’s awards luncheon.
We hold the ChamberChoice Awards each year to recognize the good work of our business community and our members. These stories lift us up, they inspire us and they remind us of the economic progress and strength of a region we’re proud to call home.
This is also a region that has suffered much. We’ve watched the waters rise. We’ve lost homes. We’ve lost business. We’ve lost lives.
Yet together, we’ve become neighbors in the face of overwhelming loss. We’ve banded together to help one another, to fight the flood that seeks to steal our opportunity, our sense of safety, our security. I am proud of the many Chamber members who took time to sandbag, to come together to fight the flood.
We’ve lost much due to spring flooding and we still have so much left to loose. We can’t afford to let the water win. We can’t let this be our story.
This is why we must stand for permanent flood protection. When we wipe flooding from the headlines about our metro, we can write a new story. A story of hope, of promise. A story of innovative businesses, cutting edge entrepreneurs, of life changing nonprofits.
We can rewrite our story and make sure it’s one of economic progress, not rising waters.
Thanks for your membership,
