ChamberChoice Award Categories

The ChamberChoice Awards program recognizes businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs in our community for their significant contributions as drivers of economic growth.

In order to become a candidate for an award, you must meet the criteria below and complete the application. Please note: Applications will open on February 5.

Any business that has won in a particular category is not eligible to win again in that particular category for five years.

ChamberChoice Small Business of the Year Category
  • Has 25 or fewer full-time employees.
  • Must be a privately held, for-profit business/organization.
  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).
  • Shows stability or growth in sales, services and/or number of individuals served and or expanded products and services.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

 

ChamberChoice Small Not-for-Profit Category
  • Has 25 or fewer full-time employees.
  • Must be a registered 501(c) (3) not-for-profit, as defined by IRS standards in the FMWF community.
  • Proven contribution to enhancing the community's overall quality of life.
  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).
  • Shows stability or growth in services and/or number of individuals served and/or expanded programs and services.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

 

ChamberChoice Entrepreneur Category
  • Individual is a founder, owner, CEO or president of a business and is primarily responsible for the recent outstanding achievements and performances of the business.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).
  • Demonstrates outstanding entrepreneurial success that has led to the creation of new wealth and job opportunities in our region.
  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Embodies an entrepreneurial success that has led to the creation of new wealth and job opportunities in our region.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

 

ChamberChoice Business of the Year Category
  • Has more than 25 full-time employees.
  • Must be a privately held, for-profit business/organization.
  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).
  • Shows stability or growth in sales, services and/or number of individuals served and/or expanded products and services.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

 

ChamberChoice Not-for-Profit of the Year Category
  • Has more than 25 full-time employees.
  • Must be a registered 501(c) (3) not-for-profit as defined by IRS standards in the FMWF community.
  • Proven contribution to the community's overall quality of life.
  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).
  • Shows stability or growth in services and/or number of individuals served and/or expanded programs and services.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

 

ChamberChoice YPN Best Place to Work Category
  • Employs young professionals who are defined as under 35 years old.
  • Open to all businesses, including not-for-profit and for-profit.
  • Organization supports total YP development.
  • Has been in business in the FMWF community for a minimum of three years (since January 1, 2015).

All nominees who successfully fill out an application become candidates for a ChamberChoice Award.

  • The time it takes to fill out the application is minuscule compared to the amount of publicity your company will receive.
  • Being part of the program helps you not only create extra business, but can be used as a hire value for your company. Plus, it's a cost-effective way to thank and honor your employees and clients while building your brand.
  • Candidates receive two complimentary tickets to the ChamberChoice Awards luncheon.

  • When you win ChamberChoice Award, you are honored on stage and featured in a short video showcasing your company and the great reasons you were selected, in front of an audience of more than 700 businesses and community leaders.
  • If you win, you receive a personalized award to display in your office.
  • Winners receive digital billboard recognition.
  • Winners will get a featured article in The Bridge, which has a circulation of 3,000.
