Outdoor Recreation and Parks

There is no shortage of things to do in the metro, whether you're looking for adventure, outdoor activities, lake life, relaxation or something else, there is something for everyone here. Just some of the activities available include shopping, bowling, pool, golf, a weekend at area lodges or the casino, a spa day, or a night on the town for drinks and dancing. We’ve got Golf Galore!Golf Outing

Recreation & Parks

Places, programs and activities are also available at the area's parks. You'll find options for children, youth and adults alike for recreation, relaxation and socialization. Lindenwood Park in Fargo also offers a campground and RV parking.

State Parks

Five area state parks provide year-round outdoor recreation activities within a short driving distance of Fargo Moorhead. Most state parks provide camping, swimming, boating/canoing, fishing and hiking/biking/snowmobile trails.

Town disc Live Events MN, LLC. Hosts the annual We Fest Country Music Festival and Spirit Fest at the Soo Pass Ranch.

MSUM Regional Science Center Buffalo River Site An outdoor; hands-on laboratory for physical, natural and social sciences.

North Dakota Horse Park The mission of the North Dakota Horse Park is to develop and promote the sport of live horse racing and all equine activities. The park operates a six to seven week live race meet in August and September.

Red River Zoo A 20-acre Zoo, features over 80 species from around the world, including many animals that are rarely seen, such as Tanuki and Pallas Cats. While strolling through the park, don't miss a magical ride on a fully-restored 1928 Carousel.

Red River Valley Fairgrounds Home of the Red River Valley Fair, Big Iron Farm Show and the Red River Valley Fair Campground.

Red River Valley Speedway Home of the World of Outlaws and summer stock-car racing on a 3/8 mile high banked oval dirt track.

Rheault Farm Home to a variety of festivals, events and classes of year long; 15 acres including a house and barn built in 1918.

S. S. Ruby River Tours Discover the history, geography, and wildlife of the Red River from the decks of the S.S. Ruby during a 45-minute pontoon tour, operated by River Keepers.

Thunder Road of Fargo Features 38 go-karts, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, a 5,000 disc feet two level laser tag arena, bummer cars, six batting cages and more than 40 arcade games.
