If you're a young professional looking to grow your career, expand your network and find a community of like-minded individuals, it's time to check out the Young Professionals Network (YPN).

YPN is a game changer for ambitious professionals in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area. Whether you’re looking to make new connections, develop your leadership skills or create a lasting impact in your community, YPN is what you need.

Here are the top five reasons why joining YPN is one of the best investments you can make in yourself and your future.

1. Build Meaningful Connections

Networking is about forming authentic relationships that can provide professional guidance. When you join the Young Professionals Network, you have the opportunity to connect with professionals across various industries, from recent graduates to rising leaders.

Will Reul, a YPN member from Doosan Bobcat, says there is importance in building relationships that extend beyond work. "I joined YPN to make more meaningful connections with young professionals in the area and to drive a positive impact in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo community," he said.

2. Advance Your Career with Professional Development

YPN offers exclusive training programs, learning opportunities and career development resources. "I joined YPN because I was in search of an organization where I could participate in professional development opportunities, meet and interact with new and diverse people, and increase my involvement in the FMWF area, " says Miranda Hall, YPN member from Ohnstad Law.

3. Get Involved in the Community

Being a part of YPN gives you the opportunity to make a difference. Through volunteering, civic engagement and events like Corporate Cup, YPN members have the opportunity to contribute to their community. "I knew I needed to find a way to get plugged into the community and meet new people, and YPN was just the place to do that! It covered all of the boxes I was looking for: friendship, community involvement and professional development," said Nicole Thorfinnson, YPN Committee Chair from Doosan Bobcat.

4. Find Your Place and Feel at Home

Moving to a new city or transitioning into professional life can be challenging, but YPN helps make FMWF feel like home. Sara Hand, YPN Committee member from Cass County Electric Cooperative, says she found a welcoming community. "Honestly… I joined because all my college friends left town, and I felt alone. I wanted to make the FM area feel more like home and that I had a community around me," Sara said.

If you're looking for a supportive network, join the Young Professionals Network and find your place.

5. Enjoy Exclusive Events and Opportunities

From social gatherings to development opportunities, YPN provides access to unique experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, explore new industries or just have fun, there’s always something happening. Brandon Schulze, YPN member from Doosan Bobcat, says he joined YPN to network with individuals who exist outside of his normal operating circles. “I love the FMWF community and wanted to find ways to get more connected," Brandon said.
