What do you do when doors keep closing? Have you ever been rejected? Does the path forward seem impossible?
For Jesseca White, giving up is never an option. Her journey hasn’t been easy. It hasn’t been quick. But it has been worth it.
Perseverance and growth
As a Sergeant with the Fargo Police Department, Jesseca’s path has been one of perseverance, growth and leadership. For years, Jesseca White faced rejection – applying five times before earning her promotion. Each rejection stung, each setback tested her confidence. But instead of letting failure define her, she used it to fuel her growth.
Her turning point? Stepping out of her comfort zone and joining United Way’s 35 Under 35 program, where she discovered something powerful.
- Resilience isn’t just about overcoming setbacks; it’s about evolving.
- It’s about pushing forward even when you’re exhausted.
- It’s about standing tall even when you feel small.
Breaking Through: A Message for Every Woman
On April 29, Jesseca White will take the stage at Women Connect’s Breaking Through: Stories of Resilience, Growth and Transformation to share her powerful story. She’ll share:
- How she turned rejection into leadership.
- Why stepping into discomfort leads to confidence.
- How setbacks can set you up for success.
She’ll challenge you to do the same – to embrace discomfort, to win your journey and to rise stronger than ever before.
A Leader in Law Enforcement
Jesseca’s 16-year career in law enforcement has spanned roles as a patrol officer, field training officer, crime scene investigator and downtown resource officer. Now serving in the Professional Accountability Unit, she continues to lead with purpose and a passion for community engagement.
