EDventures is a professional development program that takes education professionals beyond the classroom and into local businesses. In partnership with the Cass County Career and Technical Education Center and FARMS, this program provides education professionals with real-world insights to help students better prepare for future careers.

This free program offers a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at local businesses and organizations, providing a fresh perspective on what it takes to succeed in the workforce.

Visit the organizations that interest you, hear directly from employers about skills and education their fields require, and take this knowledge back to the classroom, empowering students with new information they can use to prepare for the evolving workforce.

What does hosting a session entail? 

90-minute experience: You will host one 90-minute session that is meant to be both educational and fun.
Introduce your organization: Share what makes your business unique and highlight the key aspects of your work.
Give a tour: Walk participants through your building and share what it’s like to work there.
Provide a behind-the-scenes look: Show participants key areas, explaining how things operate and contribute to your company’s success.
Engage with participants: Answer questions, provide insights and encourage meaningful conversations to help education professionals better understand the skills and knowledge needed in your field.
