What is the age range of Young Professionals Network members?
There is no age limit to join YPN, but you must be at least 21 years old.
Besides attending events, what opportunities are there to become more involved in YPN?
All members of the Young Professionals Network are invited to serve on any of the following subcommittees which provide the overall direction of the program.

• Professional Development - Works to provide young professionals with learning opportunities and resources that will help them achieve success in their chosen profession.
• Member Engagement - Assists with recruitment and retention of YPN members, assists with special events designed to promote member involvement and helps to retain members through personal contact, information, encouragement and support.
• Social - Provides social activities and networking opportunities that are of interest to young professionals.
• Corporate Cup - A series of competitive events promoting physical fitness and friendly competition among the business community.
• Member Recruitment - Assist with creating and executing YPN’s recruitment strategy by giving presentation on YPN to organizations and hosting YPN booths at Chamber events
• Marketing:  Manages YPN social media accounts, creates video content for YPN, marketing upcoming events through social media, and creates handouts and presentations for YPN

Do I need to join the YPN or can I attend events without being a member?
Many of our events are open to the public. Non-members will pay a higher cost to attend events and will not be eligible for many of the benefits members enjoy.

How many members are enrolled in the program?
There are approximately 450 young professionals from throughout the region are involved in the YPN.

How much does it cost to join the Young Professionals Network?
The annual cost for membership is $55

About the committee

This committee plans, schedules and coordinates quality, cost-effective training programs and networking events that enhance the personal and professional development of young professionals and helps to connect them to The Chamber, community and each other. Subcommittees include Professional Development, Member Engagement, Member Recruitment, Marketing, Corporate Cup, and Social.

Professional Development

• Provides young professionals with learning opportunities and resources that will help them achieve success in their chosen profession
• Meets the second Friday of the month at 8 a.m

Member Engagement

• Assists with retention of YPN members, assists with special events designed to promote member involvement and lead our volunteer efforts to offer opportunities for our members to give back
• Meets the first Monday of each month at noon

Member Recruitment

• Assist with creating and executing YPN’s recruitment strategy by giving presentation on YPN to organizations and hosting YPN booths at Chamber events
• This committee meets the first Friday of the month at 8 a.m.

Marketing

• Manages YPN social media accounts, creates video content for YPN, marketing upcoming events through social media, and creates handouts and presentations for YPN
• This committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at noon at rotating locations

Social

• Provides social activities and networking opportunities of interest to young professionals
• Meets the first Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. at rotating locations

Corporate Cup

• Plans the Corporate Cup event, which brings together area businesses to compete in various physical challenges.
• Meets the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in The Chamber board room.

YPN E-Newsletter

The YPN e-newsletter serves the membership of the Chamber's Young Professionals Network. Providing program and events information, business tips for success and profiles of YPN members, the YPN e-newsletter is published every other week.
